Scream

Never thought I would

make it through the

woods where sundown

became an instant

shadow.

Then Things arrived

hanging by feet

spindle legs & white

masks - from tree limbs.

I heard one scream like

a signal in their eerie

movements as night fell

with shrieks

& jerky moments.

Times later much blood

was found from some

poor victim.

It is said the woods

in these parts

are feared since

long ago from

underground creatures

& I decided not

to go there anymore.
