"I Love Your......."

Over the years, I have said, to work colleagues, as I have seen them sat opposite me, “I love your shoes,” Or I have said, “I love your jeans,” I have even said, “I love your top.” In fact, I have lost count, how often I have said, this to various people who I have worked with over the many decades.
On Sunday I turned the telly on, something was already on, and it DID fascinate me, so I sat down and watched it.
I too wanted to know the secret of their success.
I learnt during the programme, and I am sure other people who were watching too, learnt something new.
It was about a shop, that started in Ireland. I have never shopped there myself, but my daughter Meghan loves it, and shops there often.
Nothing in this store can be bought on-line, in this day and age, that is something else!
Just after lockdown, the queue to get into this shop in my town, it looked like it was a mile long! No exaggeration, it was on our local news, I even saw it with my own eyes! It puzzled me, and I am sure other passers-by too. I would never get tempted to shop in there, there is nothing in there, that I would want.
In Birmingham, they have the biggest store in Europe, sorry no, the World, this fashion shop is SO big it is in the Guinness World Records!
On the programme, showed what else was inside this store, it had evolved from just clothes but other things to keep the Customer in their store.
They do not advertise on telly, or anywhere else, but their own Customers, advertise what they have bought, on social media for free! They have so many millions of follows, on social media, compared to a lovely longstanding store, that I won’t name here, but it was named on the programme.
They have up to date fashion, and even predict what will be in fashion. If they get it wrong, they then move the unfashionable clothes to the back of the store and reduce them.
Everything they do is a success. The Company as grown from strength to strength and more stores are planned to be opened.
I was hooked as I watched, and I thought, I bet other stores and Companies, watching now, wished they had thought of this and thought of that.
I give the programme ten out of ten. For me, one of the best things they do, is always give a free bag, it doesn’t matter if a customer buys something small or big, their paper bag is free. I remember seeing a bag at work, and inside it, was how it could be reused for something else, how clever is that! So, it became more than just a paper bag.
I love a success story. This shop, that I have written about is called, Primark. Not my kind of a shop, but millions have made it Very successful.
