Loved this poetic ode to Rain
Loved this poetic ode to Rain, very nicely done; I can hear the rain drenching the land, quenching the thirsty earth and softly pattering on the rooftops. Enjoyed this very much.

Your great use of
Your great use of onomatopoeiae makes the description of dramatic weather all the more dramatic.
And you sneaked in before me with my idea for writing, though I didn't really know where to start. It seems like here my onomatopoeiae have dried up just as our rain has.
I enjoyed reading this.

well done! I think ALL your
well done! I think ALL your poems brilliantly have words which sound of their meaning. I was listening to a program about Seamus Heaney, and his poems do, too, it is a great and wonderful gift you share.
In this one, as well as the beautiful sound, what I really loved was "all that was waiting". This describes perfectly how it was in the drought this Summer, so simply. "All" being animals, insects, plants, gardeners, farmers

I loved, loved, .loved this. One of those poems that just flows (pun intended) and well worth a golden cherry. Well done.
