Hope

Time has made me a realist
But I miss that part of me that was a dreamer
I have to keep that part of me alive with in my son
To not let his heart become hardened by the world
Which has some cruelly with in its nature
Some loaded competition where the outcome was decided before you sat at the table
Daylight robbery and bad faith
But also wonder
Kindest and lack of malice and best of all hope
A small flame which lives within all of us
Who call our selves realists
But have not forgotten love
Merely been jarred by experience
And aged by bad faith
Yet still remember what it was to be young

Direct
and lifting in the read.
Interesting thought behind layout and choice of font, presentation.
If I might be bold. the bold first line is a good choice though addressing the overall spacing/layout of the piece would allow reader to take time/breath to consider what you encompass in these thoughts.
Though it doesn't detract overall from a powerful poem.
Best to you
