Some Transient, some Permanent

Happiness – elusive gift
from life’s burdens bringing lift,
limited when based on ‘things’
or the praise that someone brings;
but some happiness lasts longer
even while some troubles linger.
Joy when happiness is deep
based on rock of truth, will keep
heart encouraged, warmed, it will
persevere, and hope will thrill
for one day he’ll deal with wrong –
joy for pilgrims heading home.
For Christ gifts the place where pure
happiness and health are sure.
Work will not be burdensome,
illness, pain no longer known.
Praise and joy then full, Jesus
one day from all grief frees us.
Tune: 77 77 88 or 77 77 77 eg tunes of ‘As with gladness men of old’ or ‘Sing, O sing that blessed morn’
[IP: happiness]

weeping and laughter
If there was no weeping there could not be laughter, without pain there cannot be happiness, if not for sickness there would be not health. If you cannot be lost you cannot be found, if there is no death there can't be eternal life, if there wasn't crucifixion there could be no resurrection.

If there were no evil
If there were no evil then there can't be good, God created evil.
You asked for it. Cheers all the best! Tom
