Favourites

Aries Man (AM): What’s your favourite sandwich?
Cancerian Woman (ME): It depends.
AM: What do you mean it depends? It can’t depend. There’s one favourite and that’s it.
ME: Are you saying you don’t have a favourite Boxing Day sandwich?
[Non-plussed pause]
AM: We’re not talking about special occasions; you must have a bog-standard favourite sandwich, what is it?
ME: It depends.
[Eyes rolling]
AM: On what?!
ME: Time of day, day of the week, season, is it a packed lunch, if so for work or picnic, if so, park or beach, is it Christmas Day Night, have I been to Markies the Saturday before
[Glaring]
AM: Look! If you were buying a sandwich for lunch, what would you most likely get?
ME: Tuna mayo with red onion on malt and a cappuccino. But it has to be red onion and has to be on malt and if they don’t do cappuccino, then tea and a hot filled roll…Why do you ask?
AM: Nevermind.
ME: No, tell me, why do you want to know?
AM: It’s supposed to say something about your personality.
Scientific proof of the mood-food link for Cancerians, and how easy it is to wind up an Aries.
When I lived in Aberdeen, every Wednesday lunchtime I would escape work by getting out, buying a tuna mayo sandwich with red onion on malt, and lunching alfresco in the walled garden at Newton Dee. It was the freedom ritual.
I have walked the coastal path to the next village twice now, and found a plush new Premier-store. It has a café, Aunty Meg’s, where you can not only sit in for a hot filled roll, but, if the bus home is imminent, take-away a tuna mayo with red onion on malt and a cappuccino.
My favourite freedom sandwich.

Hi purplehaze,
Hi purplehaze,
just had to leave a comment on this journal entry. I'm a cancerian too and like you love tuna, in fact when I went in to have my hip replacement some years back now, I ordered tuna, salad and chips every day I don't eat meat anymore, well apart from chicken, and much prefer fish.
Being a water sign I used to love walking along the coast line, especially in Cornwall and being close to the sea, but now I live in Wiltshire which seems a million miles from any ocean. I have to say I do really miss the flow of the tide and feeling the sea breezes on my face.
I hope I don't wind up as an Aries, I like being a Cancer with my sensitive nature.
Jenny.

oh sandwich choices!!! I'll
oh sandwich choices!!! I'll have a pumpernickel bagel with smoked salmon please. You can't find them in England which makes it difficult, but I make up for it when I'm somewhere you can. I say that as a libran and we are either balanced, or off the scale unbalanced (see favourite sandwich choice)

Of course it depends
... corn fed free range egg mayo with cracked black pepper on seeded malt.
or
shredded kimchi with slivers of rare beef on sourdough rye.
Usually, leftovers or marmite, in bread, it sustains.
Pfff favourites say naught about reality
Capricorn, liking your humour.
Best L
