A hundred moments in autism - The Topless photo of Germaine Greer

Every few days I look at a topless photo of Germaine Greer.
It is a common trait among autists to return to a favourite piece of music over and over. It is calming to hear a favourite song, reassuring.
One of my favourite songs of all time is ‘I’d rather cut my hands’ by Viv Stanshall. Viv, the lead singer of the Bonzo Dog band, who was almost certainly on the neuro-diverse side of the drainpipe.
Unfortunately, ‘I’d rather cut my hands’ was never released on record. There is however a recording of it available on YouTube, illustrated by an Oz Magazine photo of Viv with a semi-naked Germaine Greer.
Which is the reason that every few days when I feel I need a burst of the song to cheer me up, I am confronted with a picture of Germaine Greer in the altogether.
Luckily, many years’ after Viv’s death, an album of material is finally to be released, meaning I will now longer have to look at Germaine Greer’s tits every time I want to play the song.
I’m looking forward.
