Gloom imprisons

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
As I look up what do I see?
I see the stars and beauty vast
all in their proper places cast
to move in perfect synchrony.
And He who all so well designed
can help me peace and comfort find.
But others in this place look down
on mud and darkness, feel but gloom,
their hearts not lifted from this room –
imprisoned, wear a hopeless frown.
Look up and find the real, true hope:
don’t turn away in gloom to grope.

inspired
Beautiful Rhiannon! Inspired. It's lovely. Perfect.
Two men look through the bars, one sees the mud the other the stars.
See you && Nolan
