"9,V.F.N.10.E.X"

Whilst ‘taking of a toast and tea’ in the kitchen this morning, noticed two things; 1. What a difference a white door makes to the light. 2. That I hadn’t sanded the repair on the door enough.  It doesn’t have to be perfect, but if I don’t make it better than it is, it will be the only thing I’ll see in beloved kitchen.

It’s an interesting feeling, heart-sinking, and is definitely not the moment to sand.

Thought I’d take Friday off, realised it was only Thursday, nevertheless decided a domestic goddess day was a better plan.

Given the chocolate supply is depleting (DIY-stress), and last week’s bananas are about to give up the ghost, a banana and walnut loaf was on the cards.  Imagine my dismay when realising ‘V.F.N.10.E.X’*. 

Didn’t buy eggs earlier this week as I had some left, and the bill was already £20.39.  (At least it wasn’t nearer £40 as usual). 

Decided this was a blessed sign from Frugalina; get out for fresh air and eggs. 

There was spend; new tiny hooks (19p each) for re-hanging the stained glass panels on the kitchen door once it’s finished.  1. As incentive to finish it.  2.  The old ones are brown and buckled.  3. Was passing the DIY shop anyway.  Couldn’t decide between gold or silver hooks, so got the white ones.  Am all about the harmony.  Looked at lovely yellow paint for the kitchen wall, reduced as was discontinued, but left with just the four hooks – two for the stained glass on the kitchen window.

It's an interesting feeling of a different sort, only buying what I went into the supermarket for, eggs and an onion. 

I mean ‘Toffee Crisps’ were only £1.35 for four with a Clubcard.

I hate no spend month.
