Djinn and Tonic

The Sahara desert, on Halloween,
is haunted by the ghost of a Beduin.
He's not evil but a benevolent djinn,
very shy and not keen to be seen.
The nomads know he's not demonic;
would share with him a gin and tonic
but the reply to such offer is laconic:
no thanks, spirit makes me catatonic.
They are surprised that a spirit might
be abstemious and refuse their invite
especially on a cold Halloween night
with the risk of exposure to frostbite.
As the supernatural being is invisible
their gesture can be said to be risible.
Although they can agree in principle,
their spirits are not infinitely divisible.

I like the idea
I like the idea of a halloween spirit can't be seen, and is not always evil. The rhyme scheme is is excsellent. I wonder how you did it?
Quite sophisticated Luigi! Good.
Cheers! Tom

Fabulous rhymes Luigi! Very enjoyable altogether :0) Gave me a strange impression of camels loaded up with cock-tail cabinets trekking across the desert
