Old Nights
For David Floyd
And a man rotates
a table for diners as I
twist myself – synching
to unghost those years.
I can see them now:
Alison with her truths.
Liana with her want.
David, his thin twitch.
There were others, of course.
But us, well, we were immersed.
Lost to an unmanageable world.
Forever clicking our pens.

boredom
"Forever clicking our pens " deep in thought or just plain bored? Forever?
Cheers! Tom

Bobblehat? Kind, I remember,
Bobblehat? I could not find his writing here anymore. Kind, I remember from reading his poems and comments, and funny and clever. I did not meet him, am so sorry for your loss. There are so many layers of lives, of writing, on here. Very sad another huge, bright character has passed, but so good that you have written this poem, Ralph. I hope Liana and Alison and everyone read this too.

The power of a few well-chosen words and images...
