Why I'm a consistent and unabashed 'anti-vaxxer'

Critics of the anti-vaccine community make the wrong assumptions. They assume we're just too lazy or pain averse or misinformed; No, like most of you like I've been through things like having my gall bladder out or dental surgery, old hat; But each such thing is a sacrifice and a vulnerability, and we should only undertake them if by reason we deem it wise. Now think about it: the Greek mathematician Pythagoras said 'The air is full of spirits' and he was correct. What are spirits? A lot of airbourne material, much of it dynamic, that the body's vital immune system that is the skin keeps out. Well every time we break the skin, particularly while we're simultaneously weakening the body temporarily on this vaccine theory, we are weakening and infecting our work-force, our children, and ourselves. Medical leeches were once considered mandatory medicine, too, throughout Europe and they actually serve a function; I'd rather take my chance with the medical leech than with this vaccine culture and its quacks. How about you?

I'd rather take my chances
I'd rather take my chances with science and a testing of the null-hypothesis. That means researchers try and prove something doesn't work. When they conclude that something does work, they ask further questions and begin anew. Try reading Carl Sagan, The Demon Haunted World and tell me (test yourself) what bits he's lying about.

Sean, It is worth remembering
There are 500,000 potentially life saving plant species which need our protection

Leeches
The effects of war, pollution, drought, disease and starvation inflict much more harm on the world and its population than potentially life-saving vaccines do, but many governments and the people who vote for them seem to be able to overlook that.
The so-called developed world is a very selfish place.
