A lovely day at last
and opportunity to get out somewhere.
Chose to do a short walk from Bishop’s Castle
as felt nice and remote and quiet.
Quickly high up with view eastwards of
the long ridge of the Long Mynd running northeast-southwest
(Church Stretton’s little Switzerland the other side of it -
did you know ‘Mynd’ comes from the Welsh ‘mynydd’ , mountain?)
Soon looking down on Bishop’s Castle nestled under hills.
Then down into CwmMawr (big valley) dingle
with its full tumbling stream
and out through meadows with the still tumbling stream meandering,
up a steep slope to a full 360º view around
encircled by hills, under the big blue sky,
and return to find our car.

There'a nothing like a lovely walk in the countryside at this time of the year, especially when the weather is fine and fresh. I loved reading about your walk Rhiannon. It was great to learn that Mynd comes from the Welsh 'Mynydd' mountain. You learn something new every day.
The views must have been spectacular too. Loved the photos.
Jenny.
