The Spider's Lament

Tell me, what are you,
a man or a mouse?
You are circumspect
around the house
looking for outsiders
that may or may not
harm you: spiders
like me, that you
are afraid to pick up.
If you see me, you trap
me in a glass or a cup
to chuck me out
without a bye your leave
stopping me from building
the web I wish to weave.

This is such a great idea for
This is such a great idea for this week's I. P.. Luigi. I'm not reallly a fan of spiders, but it's not their fault they give me the creeps when in the house. Yet in the garden I've had them crawling on me and it's never bothered me. I think it's because there are so many places they can skitter to and hide in the house. I do like their webs though, spiders are so clever.
Enjoyed your poem.

Spiders are scary
Spiders are scary let's face it. Mosly harmless, especially those large hairy ones. Unless you're a fly ...
Cheers Luigi! Tom

And they do clear up little
And they do clear up little flies! I used to be very happy picking them up in my hand, but there have been so many stories of some dangerous ones coming into the country, that a glass or cup seems better now! Rhiannon
