Surprised by snowdrops
a sturdy clump
in a verge that’s drear,
by a hedge still sere:
announcement of approaching
steadily encroaching
spring
soon to bring
growth and warmth
abundant, verdant.

A beautiful tribute to these darling little flowers. I am currently planting little colonies of them in my garden. I don't think I can put into words how much I love snowdrops but you've done a lovely job here, Rhiannon.
