Snow

Arriving at night icy kapok drifts
to earth in silence flickering in
lamplight like a million dying moths
forming a tapestry to cloak all.
Trees are changed to fairy cakes
hard corners softened by random
curves turning cars to abandoned
hillocks and houses to fairy cots.
All too soon the world of pixie and
elf begins to fall apart, trees shed
their coats, cars turn into into weeping
metal, roofs sharpen, but grass hangs on.

Liked this Ed. You open with drifting icy kapok. Great imagery that sets the scene for the rest of the poem. Trees looking like fairy cakes, weeping cars... whats not to like? Great poem mate.
