And now it's time for&;#8230;..The Voyage of Guido. Part 3
"Phew, if we smoke this field, Andreas, we will never get round to
rescuing Pitiquita from the toads."
"What toads?" asked Andreas
"I think you have smoked enough, my mousey little friend."
"I think I am going to get into the basket and have a snooze."
Andreas crawled away into the basket, after a few moments he poked his
furry little head out and with blurry eyes asked. "You haven't got any
food, have you?"
Guido shook his head and drifted away into his own private world which
mainly involved multicoloured sugared almonds raining from the
sky.
Two days later, Andreas appeared from the basket, "Well I think we
should get on with rescuing Pitiquita."
"Yes, lets go."
With renewed vigour the two rodents of adventure made for the Temple of
the Toads. They took with them all the provisions they might need,
including their stoves and bows for killing and cooking their favourite
food, live lettuces.
After four miles of hiking through fairly rough terrain they approached
the summit of a small hill. At the top they were met with what they had
came here for, the Temple. It towered upwards amongst the trees into
the clouds. More stealthily they went the last mile or so to the temple
and when they were near to the entrance they crouched down behind some
bushes. There at the entrance, two toads patrolled backwards and
forwards. From their warty heads to their webbed feet they were clad in
black armour, in their hands they held long spears.
Guido got out his bow, "I can fell these fellows with two
arrows."
"Wait," said Andreas "We will climb the wall instead, it will be better
if we get in unnoticed."
They crawled around to a quieter area, which was unguarded and tip toed
up to the wall, Andreas got out his length of rope with a grappling
hook attached to the end and hoiked it over the battlements above.
Guido led the way, when the guinea pig was over the top, Andreas
followed, at last they were in the Temple. Now, where was
Pitiquita?
