Nobody saw him, the tax man
In his quest never ending:
I was deeper in debt than you thought
And not saving but spending.
Poor chap, he always loved money
And now he's broke
It must have cost too much for him his purse gave way,
A joke.
Oh, no, no, no, I was too poor always
(Through the tax bills unending)
I was ever too free with my cash
And not saving but spending.
