The Stinging Gift
-----------------
Wings from shoulders
Angled
Are sprouting
Arms for arms
That threw to shatter
Strength
Of wooden
Earthenware
Framed by gestures
Cherry springs
And lemonade summers ; retired
Now lie
Stolen from us
In state
Of dormancy
Mute
Yet
Restive in their
Rest
For in
Quiet earth
MaskEd are graduations
Of effort
Molecular motions
Spell more potions
The worm re-cast ;
And the
Die
Flex fingers of
Disquietude
And the lofty planets
Do
Once more
Converge in majesty
Bowing together reverent heads
Trailing tapestries
Regal adornments
Praising
To star-scattered skies
Mystic rituals of old
MOON-PLOUGHED
Turn your heavy eyes to
Laden night
And light the
Shadows
Of your
Soul
With smokey invokations
Like breath to
Death chill
Curls
Seductive as a
Memory
Shielded now
Sharp wind nurtures savage mo(u)rning
Cracked
From stone
The marble eyes
