Chaosity Kills (29th January, 2009, 9.18am)
If silence is golden, your silence
resounds with a million tiny
and tarnished sounds; I flutter
an eyelash, a hurricane rises; I
swallow my pride; a tsunami
finds me. And there you are
sitting, right where I left you;
I’ve tried my hardest but I
can’t regret you; you loved me
a little, my heart became broken;
my own fault, I suppose, for
leaving it open; between us an
assault course, a muddy struggle;
we leapt for the ropes, ended up
in the puddles. I’ve cried a little,
a river sprang from me; I bit my
tongue, now it doesn’t belong to
me; you held your hand out, fell
into the chasm; I tried an apology,
out came sarcasm. We tried to
retreat, the enemy found us; in
our defeat, the trumpets resounded.
I’ll put my boots on and flatten
a nation; you try to stop me, with
some hesitation; as you touch my
shoulder, the bones crack and
crumble; my lies for their eyes say
I’ve taken a tumble. I could press
charges, land you in prison, but I
simply blank you and you lose your
vision. Shut my ears to find silence
as your lies surround me; open my
mouth and allow them to drown me.
