The Leap

Arms out streched
as the wind hits me in the face
blowing my hair in all directions.
I'm flying.

I took the leap,
over the edge
and away from security,
away from home,
away from you.
It's the biggest step in my life,
the most important
thing for us to date,
but it'll only be one year
of getting by,
then it'll get easier i'm sure,
a year on you'll be closer
and we'll be even stronger .
A year on from that
and for me it'll be done
then I can move closer
to the girl I call my one.
Three years, thats all,
and I know that sounds scary,
and in truth i'm scared too
but i'm okay because i know i'm
doing it all with you,
I won't tell you it'll be easy,
but I promise i'll do all I can
to make it that way.

So come on, hold my hand
and take the leap with me.
