. Thought at sixty five
P K Routray
Edited by P Gaan
I am sixty five retired from service,, for some other assignment I strive.
Past was full of glory present seems unnecessary
Who knows future will tell what story?
Time is treasure
Never enjoy it as leisure
Though socially let loose my bondage is strong
My companions are old but association young.
Hair has turned grey
In men’s beauty parlor some times I stay.
Weak are my teeth
Often I visit the dentist.
My eyesight site is hazy
I wear specs with golden frame glazy
My hearing power feeble
I use hearing aid fashionable
Skin is wrinkled without any glaze
I go for herbal massage.
I am physically weak within
Have to swallow many a pill vitamin.
My reflexes are slow
So daily gymnasium I go
For good foo0d I have temptation
Hence I suffer from regular indigestion
Though old on physique I am mentally strong
To stay ever young I always long
Nights are long. Days weigh heavily on
How long like this shall I pull on?
