First, bright flaxen lashes,
then the opened eye of sun,
like loud cymbal crashes,
flashes o’er the horizon.
Bright as inspiration,
it touches blank winter snow,
then out pours creation;
bright life flourishes and grows.
Now, with its awakening,
comes the pleasant dream of spring;
petals imitate its rays;
winging songbirds sing its praise.
Now, I see his golden helm;
he comes to reclaim his realm;
Winter’s watchmen overwhelmed
by homecoming hero Sun.

I really enjoyed this one, JoHn. I agree with Verdana...the vocabulary you use is very 'golden' and very warming indeed. Just what I could with to day;-)
Have a lovely Christmas.
