LIKE A MOTHER TO ME..

You treated me like one of your own
the love and care you had, was shown
you saw the potential in my eye
sung me songs at night, a sweet lullabye
A godmother you are by name
only god could create such a wonderful dame,
sitting on the sofa, drinking milk and ice
was just like being in paradise.
A beautiful woman through mind and soul,
no matter how long, time is never dull.
I would spend an eternity with you
no-one could replace, the bond between us two.
your not my mother but you offer so much more
you picked me up, when I was on the floor.
you help me become this person today
whos bubbly and lets no-one stand in her way.
You helped me reach my dreams in life,
and if not for you, I would not be a wife,
you have helped me when the chips were down
made me smile when all I could do was frown.
If you were a gift, no value would do,
not a penny, a pound, your priceless through and through.
