“Poor man”, said the seeing woman, looking down at the blind beggar, “How terrible not to see the stars or the moon or the colours of the flowers”.
“Oh but you're wrong”, replied the blind man, “For, though I can’t see the moon or the stars; my blindness brings me closer to the Earth. I have to touch everything; I must feel the trees and the flowers and the grass, whereas you can stand at a distance from them; look at them in your pictures; view the Earth around you as if it were as far away as the moon and the stars”.
