A Metaphoric incident

“ Save me save me or else I will die’
Sinking down and rising up in water was a drowning man’s cry.
On the river bank a group of people were standing on the land
trying frantically to save the victim, were asking him to extend his hand.
so that the victim can touch and catch hold of a stick
to save him, the process was thought to be easy and quick
But the man did not know how to extend his hand,
panicky were the people trying to save him standing on the river sand.
As he had never extended his hand in his whole life
to assist any one during one’s dire need and strife,
how can the same man then and there understand
the importance and significance of extending a hand?
