His Vault of Dreams

My dreams were in tatters
Trampled by deceit.
So I locked them away
Deep, in the vault of despair.
Threw away the key,
Vowed, never to re-open.
They’d be safe in there
Nothing could reach them
No more harm would befall
My wonderful dreams
They were scarred but
Could recover in time.
Then one day you came along
So I found the key
And let them loose.
