A day of release
from a caring role,
relief of pressure and stress,
a refreshment goal –
to gaze
on different scenery,
travel fresh ways,
beauty ponder
with wonder;
renewing acquaintance
with friends old and new,
share problems, so view
other situations,
exchanging perceptions,
brain stimulations
in challenging directions
away from the daily
labour of sharing Caring:

clean, purge out stale lethargy,
revive joy and vibrancy;

returning anew to dedication,
satisfaction, willing weariness,
paced life of stress.

thank you, Tina. Though it was meant to be a generic description of the sweetness of such a break for a carer, we have been in a difficult situation recently and can appreciate what that break tastes like, and the struggle when it isn't forthcoming, and realise how many people can feel so much on their own with dedicated caring long-term, and how grateful they are for the occasional relief and respite. Thank you again, Moya. It is a great challenge to be a gentle and kind patient too! I've often been reminded of the need to pray to be prepared to graciously receive, and be a joy to those who may visit or help when I have need of such. Rhiannon
