Going quietly behind
suburbia,
Your sooty rags cast
off
You find here
pastoral release,
The engineer’s straight
lines made
A desire path
running
Into England’s
heart;
The country of quiet
lanes,
Old pubs; towns
sleeping
In a summer
haze
We only see,
when it’s gone
June 2013.
