To get back to my former query, "Would America be any different if the East Asians became an integral part of the upperclass?" The answer is "No." Nothing would have changed. Nor are Americans going to bow down to Asians or adopt Asian customs. East Asians agree with almost everything that the American upperclass says. In fact, East Asians are becoming more and more politically irrelevant. What would have changed for East Asians? More economic interconnectedness with East Asia and America perhaps but even this is in question. Are East Asians going to argue with the East Asian Elite? Probably not.
