Live to Die - a stream of consciousness poem

I wake up to slumber

I climb to new lows

Whoever said Hell is down?

Whoever said God was good?

The sky is blue, says the scientist

The grass is green, says the mathematician

True knowledge is only limited by these spheres of sight

The soul is caged, trapped, chained to this body

Curse whoever put us together

Death is a gift, a breach of a boundary

And there would be no point in living without it.
