hard to ponder when you are

awake,

the casualties that you sometimes leave in your

dreams.

 

just what are the impulses in you that

make you so capable of pure butchery

in the world of your own mind

when the eyes are closed &

yet, once the lids open,

make you follow all the rules of this

perty lil’

“civilized”

society?

 

be it the food you ate,

as they often say, or the person who

you can’t get off your mind &

mercilessly want to

fuck,

it seems no matter the reasons,

our own minds remind us of the dark

that seems to lie possible

just on the tip of our very awakening---

funny that those who speak EVERYTHING

simply being aspects of consciousness,

never seem to ponder the acts that take place in

our

dreams…

so many write them off as

“the brain taking out the garbage,” or

a sensible way for the body to reduce stress &

replenish itself with energy

so that all of its exhausted faculties

can recuperate for the coming of the next

day.

 

no, you never find a human adult

acting in conjunction with the dreaming state,

fulfilling those acts that have not yet been

satisfied in the present

waking state---

rather, we wrap this integral & yet hidden

part of us,

keeping it away from the rest,

doing our best to protect each other

as if the secrets will have no way of coming out

to show themselves &

reveal us for who we are in

totality.
