Lizzie's Bonnet

It wasn’t Lizzie Bennet
that Mr. Darcy admired,
it was her pretty bonnet
that he much desired.
It would be with pride
and without prejudice
he’d share it with his bride
and have hours of bliss.
He felt very secure
of his masculinity
but the chapeau’s allure
might prove a liability.
Some people may deride,
women would scorn:
it’s only the distaff side
that know how it is worn.

This one made me smile Luigi.
This one made me smile Luigi. Delicious rhyming and language (come sempre) and a lovely tongue-in-cheek look at P&P.
