Be mindful of your language,
The words you choose can hurt!
It's not like they will be forgotten,
Like last years favourite shirt!

Your actions speak yet louder still,
Especially used in malice!
To impose your thoughts and will on others,
Will be like a poison chalice!

Your life is far too short to stress,
About how others think!
To mock and joke without remorse,
Words of faith, religion or boisterous full of drink!

Try your best, set standards high,
Inspire, motivate, create desire!
Don't leave this world in ruins,
With homes and cities set on fire!

A plane shot down, no words to justify,
Bombs dropping on the Gaza Strip!
Families grieve around the world,
Some folk just need to get a grip!

Sometimes these things they start off small,
A word, a gesture, a sign of disrespect!
Then they escalate beyond control,
And soon your life is wrecked!

Be mindful of your language,
The words you choose can hurt!
And if the hurt is way too much,
Your six feet deep in dirt!
