Destination Unknown

Grasping fine strands of art
is such a joyous encounter;
not knowing if what we embrace
is our true destiny or a brief moment,
Who knows the order of the day?
Perhaps it brings an angry storm,
but pleasure gives stability
lifting the uneasy spirit high.
Let no transgressor influence
my soul in a troubled world,
just a helping hand to guide me,
to empathize with understanding;
accumulating knowledge; I then
become aware I've grown...
just as the road takes a turn,
I encounter destination unknown.

Well hello again, Jenny.
Well hello again, Jenny. Completely missed this one.
The second stanza rang very true for me, as life has not been particularly kind to this week. Power cuts, the car going wrong, and my heating packing up. Not only that but a hefty dentist's bill, for both me and my other half. Hence why I overlooked this beautiful poem and equally beautiful picture.
Apart from the second stanza this one also stood out for me:-
'Let no transgressor influence
my soul in a troubled world
just a helping hand to guide me
to empathise with understanding.'
The whole thing a treat to read, which I found more than uplifting.
Thank you
Tina

HI Jenny
HI Jenny
This is a beautiful, thought provoking poem - very deep. Knowing from reading your messages on comments, that you are an artist, makes it easier to put the poem in perspective.
The photo is very lovely.
