School crush

Your thought pattern is unorthodox
Like lazy bed rest in the middle of the day
Shadows play steadily across your mind scape
As you try to recapture thoughts of your boisterous youth
I know I’ll find you there
In the middle of my mind where you always are
Playing truant from English class
Where we passed notes of love and play
Because you were from delinquency
And I from a good Christian family
Are paths only crossed while in school
Never did I think that one day we would be an item
As you never stayed around long enough to capture any moment
Now my life is consumed by you
You have come good and not before time
And you have changed me introducing me to the real world
Whilst I still try to hold on to God and all I used to be
