Charnel House

Break my bones and put them on the pile
I’m just another screaming color
to add to your mosaic

A new toy that quickly becomes familiar
and you start out thinking I’m irreplaceable
but then I’m broken down to a skeleton
and I look like all the others

I won’t keep you on your toes 
the way you’ve kept me on mine

I’m chaotic and confused
but you’ve learned the pattern of madness 
and mine took the least amount of time to solve

You gave me some stability
but your structure holds dead, forgotten things
and I just want to be alive
in somebody’s heart and mind
