The Souvenir of a dream (Journey IP)

There was once a man who, whenever he dreamed that he had travelled to a certain place, would always bring back something from the dream with him.
If he dreamed he had been to the moon and had picked up a piece of moonrock, he would wake up the next day with a piece of moonrock still clutched in his hand or if he dreamed he had been to a beautiful garden and picked a flower he would wake up holding the flower he had picked.
Ofcourse the evidence of his dreams was not always so pleasant, for example, one time he dreamed that he had been in a snake pit and woke up with a slithering snake in his bed.
But then one day his wife got the idea that, by this method, they both could become rich and, that night, while he was sleeping, she whispered into his ear,
"You are dreaming of a room full of golden coins and you have a bag in your hand. Fill it with golden coins and then hold onto it".
And when, later, the man woke up, he did indeed have a bag full of golden coins and, seeing them, the wife jumped for joy.
Then she tried the same thing again the next night and her husband brought back an even larger bag full of gold.
When she tried it for a third night, however, her husband, talking in his sleep cried out,
"Help! There is a giant in the room and he is angry that I have been stealing all his gold".
And at first his wife was frightened that the dream giant might kill her husband but then she had an idea.
"Don't worry", said his wife, "For you too are as tall as a giant".
"Yes", said her sleeping husband, "I am now as tall as a giant but the giant has a sword and a shield".
"Well then", said his wife, "You too have a sword and a shield".
"Yes", said her husband, "Now I too have a sword and a shield but the giant is an excellent swordsman".
"Not to fear", said the wife, "For you too are an excellent swordsman, better than the giant".
For some time, as she waited, her husband said nothing and the wife started to get worried but, finally the husband said, "Yes. I too am an excellent swordsman and, though he fought very fiercely, now the giant is slain".
Then, when the wife heard this, she told her husband that he was his old self again for she didn't want him waking up as a giant then she told him that all the gold in the room was in one large bag and to hold on tightly to it and, when he awoke again, he had hold of a giant bag of gold, so big that it broke their bed with its weight; big enough, infact, to make them both a king and queen for a lifetime.
And, after that the husband and wife lived happily ever after.
