A Dolly Holiday

In summer when its bright and gay
the dollies go on holiday;
the china dolls and teddybears
all go abroad to lose their cares.

 

With dolly things they pack their bags
even the ragdoll made of rags
puts on her ragged hat and coat
and boards a dolly sailing boat.

 

And off it sails to dollyland;
a place of sea and sun and sand
where dolls have fun and run and play
or sunbathe in the sun all day.

 

Where Rocking horses, bold and brave,
upon their surfboards ride the waves
or dolls upon the golden sand
do rock and rolling, holding hands.

 

There's even hot dogs and ice cream
some tasty treats for a summer dream
then in two teams the dolly's all
play a game of beach vollyball.

 

This is a postcard just to say,
"Having a jolly holiday
with all the dolls and teddybears.
I really wish you could be here".

 

But, perhaps if you wish you can
sail off, in dreams, to dollyland.
I hope you can, its so much fun,
this dolly holiday we're on.
