The Power of Love

Once, an infant boy was born and when his mother took him in her arms a beam of sun burst from his heart and shone, like a golden kiss, upon her face.
"The power of love in this infant is very strong", she said and, because of the beam of sun she called the boy Ray of Sun.
And indeed Ray was no ordinary boy, for whenever he felt an emmotion it would not ever stay locked within his heart but always burst out of him like something from his dreams come to life.
For example, he could not see a beautiful rainbow without a flapping flock of butterflies bursting from his breast or a sunset without a fire coloured rose growing out of his heart, opening and blooming.
When the boy grew to be a man however, he had trouble controlling that strange magic.
He fell in love with a girl called Moonbeam but when he tried to tell her that he loved her, his heart beat so loudly that, out of it came a dozen soldiers in scarlet beating drums and it scared Moonbeam away.
Sadly, Ray of Sun went away and cried to himself, a grey cloud bursting from his heart and raining down upon him.
But then Moonbeam was abducted by an evil wizard called Stormwind who locked her away in his towerhouse
When Ray of Sun heard what had happened he was so upset but he had no confidence.
"I would rescue her if I could but what can I do. I am just a boy?", he said.
And as he said this a little mouse crawled, squeaking from his heart.
"No", he said, seeing the mouse, "I cannot be a little mouse when Moonbeam is in trouble. I must be brave".
And when he said this, the mouse grew into a lion and roared.
Then, climbing upon the lion he rode to the towerhouse of stormwind.
But when Stormwind saw Ray of Sun approaching, he opened up a bag of flashing lightning bolts and hurled them from the window of his tower at Ray and one of them, landing infront of him split a large crack in the earth into which Ray and the lion fell.
As Ray was standing in the crack within the earth, however, and wondering how he would get out, his lion gradually shrinking back into a tiny little mouse again, suddenly he heard Moonbeam calling from her window in the towerhouse.
"Ray? Ray? Is that you?", she called out to him.
And when this happened, the mouse vanished and an eagle burst from his heart with wide golden wings and riding upon the eagle he flew up out of the crack in the earth and in through Moonbeams window.
When this happened however, Stormwind burst into her room and drew a sword of shadow from his scabbard.
But then, Moonbeam, realizing the power that was in his heart, kissed Ray upon the lips and all at once, a beam of light burst from it and, when Ray seized hold of it, it became a golden blade.
Then, crossing his sword of light with Stormwinds sword of shadow, they fought.
And they fought fiercely and Ray of Sun, bravely but, compared with Stormwind he was no swordsman and stormwind soon knocked the blade of sunlight from his hand and, raising his sword of shadow was about to plunge it into Ray of Suns heart and kill him.
However, just at that moment, from out of Moonbeams heart there burst a bird of fire. It was the power of her love for Ray come to life.
And flying down upon the dark wizard,it clawed upon his head with red hot talons and pecked at his head with a red hot beak and when that happened the wizard became distracted by the bird just long enough for Ray of Sun to pick up his golden sword and plunge it through Stormwinds heart.
Then, when Stormwind vanished like an evil shadow, Ray of Sun and Moonbeam kissed again and this time their hearts both became so light that they floated from the tower and, though they were too busy kissing to notice, all the way home.
And soon after that, they were married and though they were too poor to afford a church wedding, bells bursting from Ray's heart rang for them both then, after that, they lived happily ever after.
