Sometimes

Sometimes (23rd October, 2016).

Sometimes time is not enough,

and all you need is to erase

the memories you made

when you were loved.

Sometimes distance doesn’t work,

and all you need is to stay close

to the familiar 

while it still hurts.

And sometimes, every now and then,

it doesn’t matter who, or how, or when,

sometimes you need someone

to tell you it gets easier,

and everything will work out in the end.

Sometimes those lies are just like little friends,

Sometimes it’s better when you just pretend.

Sometimes life seems so unfair,

and all you need is just one day

when things all go your way

and you’re repaired.

Sometimes love seems like a curse,

and all you need is to believe

that someone else’s heart

has come off worse.

And sometimes, every now and then,

it doesn’t matter when, or how, or who,

sometimes you meet someone

that lights you up inside and soon,

you start to feel your heart will beat again…

Sometimes ends turn out to be beginnings,

Sometimes losing paves the way to winning.
