I thought this was the new world but

I'm facing the same old walls.

Its the same old story of the new.
44444"A dream has to fight its way 444
through a mire of molasses and

through missiles of scorn

pushing a cornerstone".

But though they know the story;
444444444444444444444444444444
 they still choose to be

the keeper at the gates; the manyheaded beast.
2222222222222222222222222222222
So I must play the part of the intrepid.
3333333333333333333333333333333
I must lift up my sword
44444444444444444444444444444
and make my heart of steel.
55555555555555555555555555555
But they will understand, those who's love is true
66666666666666666666666666666
why I go on.

The use of numbers has a very interesting visual effect.

What I'm really interested in is counterpoint or polyphony. My ultimate ambition is to create poems that are like a band of musicians rather than one musician.
