Buckets Of Roses- By Paul McCann
He stands at the station and wishes you well .
He's got buckets of roses to sell.
He looks at the faces of the crowd passing by and he smiles as he looks in their eye , each has a story to busy to tell .
He's got buckets of roses to sell .
Well it's not for the money ,
it's just for the show ,
It's his life and everybody knows
He's got buckets of roses to sell
He's got buckets of roses to sell
and for the price of a bunch it could brighten your lunch ,
In a city as stressed out as hell .
There were no roses when he buried his wife .
They were only wed about three years.
Now all that are left are memories of her washed in a sea of tears
From dawn to dusk you can trust he'll be there ,
with buckets of roses to sell
And when they're all gone
The next train he'll be on until
morning brings him back again to the place that is his and will always be .
He's got buckets of roses to sell .
