A trick of time

You place your years into the box;
you close the lid and tap it with an hour hand;

tap, tap, tap, tap; tick, tick, tick, tick;
you open up the box and the years are gone.
"Where did they go to?", you wonder.
Oh, but the box is not empty
for now it is full of memories
like magic stars.
