Ignorance can lead to bliss

I know not why half the world hates the other
Is it the aggregate of our differences that divides us so
Or our ignorance that keeps us partitioned
Yet even if we were all the same color,
Believed the same things,
Shared the same language
The tall would still find reason to loathe the short
Were we then made the same height,
Tribes of the skinny would do battle against the robust
Perhaps if we had no arms,
With which to hold weapons or make fists,
There would be peace
But it is not hard to imagine us running around,
Headbutting everyone in sight
Mayhap if we were also blind it could work
Would we then spend our days hurling verbal barbs,
In the cruel hope that some might strike true
Should we then lose the ears,
To spare ourselves from this constant oral cacophony
Are these not all paltry sacrifices in the pursuit of tranquility
Behold my newly acquired friends,
We have found the blueprint for utopia

I want utopia too, or at
I want utopia too, or at least a little less hate. But that doesn't seem to be our fate.
