If there is no faith then there is still love

If there is no faith then there is still love;
no book, then still the kindness in our souls;
a heaven upon Earth if no heaven above;
the angels of our hearts with higher goals.

 

No communion, then still friendship and peace;
no prayers, then still the joining of our hands
and, if love can save, then hell on Earth shall cease
and hymns, they'll sing, of love throughout the land.
