Things I have done since he left:

retched

cried

peeled off my remaining nail polish

poured a glass of water (but not drunk it)

read each of his 4 texts

found my diary

used loo roll as tissues

tried unsuccessfully to read a book

written

shivered

felt deeply miserable

hated the smell of him on my skin

checked my fit bit 3 times

contemplated counselling 

felt stupid

felt angry

felt lonely

missed my cat

googled publishers (in hope someone is commissioning late night ramblings of the broken hearted)

counted the hours until 7am

drew a smiley face on my thumb

got wet wipes and wiped down the sofa where he was sitting 

wiped my skin too

wondered over and over

what’s wrong with me?

I've been there in the past, it takes a lot of courage to see a light at the end of the tunnel, but life does get better over time.
