costumes this peninsula of shore –
as night-time silence escapes the clamor
of a busy fisherman’s run
with lobster traps and herring bait
aligned with a desire for a good catch
first a deep sleep before morn--
who knows what surprises may come by.

Hi Richard, had to look up what a jackpine was as I've never heard of it before. Discovered it's a type of pine tree. Enjoyed reading your poem.
