A scene set-up
with ‘paper’ fairies*,
or tricks of lighting
implying mysteries,
and plates corrupted
(before our day
of digital manipulation,
to print distortion):
fake depictions, ‘news’ creations
– for confidence that ‘the camera never lies’
but presenters of its product can.
* The Collingley fairies accepted by Conan Doyle
[IP: The camera never lies]
