When You’re Gone

When you’re gone I will carry on as hard as it may be ,

with no one there to care or share a single word with me

When you’re gone I’ll think of you and I’ll miss you terribly ,

and each day that comes and goes will be an eternity

When you’re gone I’ll try to pretend that everything’s ok

even though I know myself that you have gone far away

When you’re gone the sun will rise as I open up my eyes

I’ll reach for you as I always do , then I’ll realise 

You’ve not there anymore when you’re gone but what can I do

even without you by my side , I’ll still say I love you

When you’re gone I will still love you wherever you may be 

Even when you’re not here , in my heart you will always be

 When you’re gone, I’ll put the kettle on for a cup of tea 

Then suddenly I’ll remember that  you’re not there with me

When you’re gone I’ll try to be strong and do what must be done  

Working away everyday til the end of the week’s come
